The Game’s been busy lately. Dissing Jay-Z is one fulltime job that I’d never sign up for. But some would argue that the Game’s career has been built off beef and if he ain’t beefing than he ain’t on his job. Personally beefs don’t do anything for me, unless we are taking about “The Take Over” and “Ether” and then, well ‘nuff said about that. But with all this BS beef going on I wanted to add some positivity to the stew with a new episode of Keys 2 the City. Here Jayceon laces up for a game at his local gym and talks about how hip-hop and basketball basically came up together. He then launches into his best Biggie impression, spitting bar after bar with a satisfied smile that suggests that he really truly does love hip-hop, and that’s something we can all agree on.

I am sorry to say.. but..

I have gotten the news that Vibe magazine has picked Eminem as the best rapper in the world. HUH? not to say that Em is not a more than averagely gifted MC... best in the world.... 2 things are happening here.. 1- 50 has intimidated somebody..(again) or 2- Eminem has something on somebody. Eminem's body of work does not even warrant that statement. Like I said.... he has some great music and albums that have come out. My question is...can you name a song off of his current album now? My point is being great is not only past but it is present and because there is no age cap in hip hop... the future. Em is a hip hop Icon.. no question... but Em has taken a lot of time of and his recent music has left a little to be desired. ... His group.. D-12 is average at best. (purple pills is my joint though...) Who's the best to do it....? I have to say JAY Z... (he's not my favorite rapper though...) ....for consistency... that means being on the scene, dropping albums doing singles and stuff like that. In hip hop you know what it is... I don't see you.... you must have fell off....comments?

UPDATE.... You knew it was going to be 1.....

Okay just got the news on the new LP. The Tracklisting on the internet is completely false, with the exception of possibly Most Kings but even that has been changed as Jay gave Chris Martin the original verse for a Coldplay song. Kanye West produced the entire album with a sound that combines the best of Kanye, Swizz, and Dilla. Think about how Swagga Like Us has the vocal sample with the Swiss Effect, the drums of Dilla by not being on some straight up boom boom bap sound, and the Electronic/European sounds of the keyboards used on the swagger joint.

Its Official- JAYONCE(Jay Z and Beyonce) Are MARRIED!

The rumors have been buzzing for a day or 2 now...but its official...Beyonce and Jay Z have completed their nuptuals and are a married couple. As much as I would like to spend time on this story...(and it is news) it is kind of uneventful. I expected a little more fan fare from hip hop and r&b's power couple. I do wish them well and congrats to them all the way. I'm a fan of both of their music.. so I'm hoping this will be the catalyst for some new and even hotter music... Stay Tuned!
